Creator mode

Creator mode turns your public care profile into a support page headed "Support me with DEGEN", showing your recent supporters, your real total received and your badges. It is off by default, it changes nothing about how you tip or get tipped, and you can switch it back off whenever you like.

Notifications

These choices are saved to your account and delivered to the bell and inbox inside Caretaker. Turning one off stops new notices of that kind — the ones already in your inbox stay.

Help

How tipping works

You pick a person, an amount and a reason. Your own wallet signs a DEGEN token transfer on Base straight to their wallet. Caretaker never holds your funds and charges no fee — you only pay the Base network fee. A tip can be anything from 0.1 to 10,000 DEGEN.

If a transaction is stuck or fails

A tip stays "submitted" until Base confirms it, which is usually seconds. If it stays pending, check the transaction on BaseScan from its receipt. A failed transfer means no DEGEN left your wallet — the usual causes are too little DEGEN for the amount or too little ETH on Base for the network fee. Top up and send again; nothing is charged twice.

What DEGEN and Base are

Base is an Ethereum layer-2 network with very low fees. DEGEN is an ERC-20 token on Base used across Farcaster as a way to say thank you. Caretaker only moves DEGEN on Base between your wallet and the person you are tipping.
